Terms of Service

These starter terms describe how SignLite should be used. Have a U.S. attorney review and customize them before accepting real customers.

SignLite provides an electronic signing workflow and audit trail. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

Senders are responsible for choosing appropriate documents, confirming signer authority, keeping required records, and complying with laws that apply to their transaction.

SignLite should not be used for document categories excluded from ordinary electronic-signature treatment unless a qualified attorney has approved that use.

Users must not upload malware, illegal content, documents they do not have authority to send, or information they are not allowed to process.

The service may rely on third-party hosting, storage, email, SMS, and identity-verification providers. Availability and delivery times are not guaranteed.

Restricted Documents

Do not use SignLite for these categories unless counsel has approved the workflow for the specific transaction.

  • Wills, codicils, and testamentary trusts
  • Adoption, divorce, and other family-law matters
  • Court orders, official court notices, and court filings
  • Notices of cancellation or termination of utility services
  • Default, foreclosure, eviction, or repossession notices
  • Cancellation or termination of health or life insurance benefits
  • Product recall notices affecting health or safety
  • Documents required to accompany hazardous materials

Electronic Signature Notice

By using SignLite, users agree that electronic signatures and electronic records may be used for supported transactions. Signers still receive a transaction-specific consent disclosure before completing a signature.
